What's In My Bag

Happy December! I thought today I would do a 'What's In My Bag' post as I am so nosey and love reading these...and just love handbags, if I'm honest!

For the past couple of months I have been carrying around this Zara beauty. Zara handbags are amazing, they are such great quality at really affordable prices! This is not current season and is actually from a couple of years ago but I missed it when it was in stores.  Tom managed to hunt this down for me on ebay and give it to me a lovely early Christmas present! I am so so happy, I love it! It is pink, it has short handles and long handles so you can carry it in the crook of your arm over the shoulder. It has loads of compartments and is the perfect not mini but not large size, as I'm not one for big handbags..and did I mention its pink!

So enough about the bag and lets dive into its contents. I think this is fairly normal for most women, especially all the beauty lovers out there, but you will always find multiple lip products in my bag. This is just a selection of my current favourites but I can assure you there was more! Right now I am loving the Clarins Instant Lip Perfector - I think this is a bit of a cult item - it isn't a normal gloss but has more colour than a lip balm and is great for layering over lipsticks to tone them down a bit.

Just like lip balm, hand cream is a necessity this time of year and I always suffer with dry, cracked hands. This year this little Cath Kidston beauty has come to my rescue, it is perfect size for a hand bag, isn't too thick and the packaging is just adorable! You can never go wrong with Cath Kidston.

A little bit of an obvious one but I never go out without my purse. I'm not really a fan of big purses, i just find they make my bag too heavy and seen as I am a fan of smaller bags, a smaller purse or card holder just fits better. For the last couple of years I have been carrying around this little pouch from Mulberry, it is one of my few big splurge items. It has a card pocket on the back and you can fit more inside along with some change. Perfect!

As you would have seen in my 'Everyday Makeup Staples' post I am a huge fan of this Mac Studio Fix powder and use it everyday. One of the things I love about it is the fact it is compact and great for carrying around with you for touch-ups throughout the day.

Anyone who knows me knows I am a little bit of a stationary addict and am a huge sucker for cute pens. I always carry at least one on me and lately these have been my three pens of choice. I have had the white Swarovski one for the last couple of years and it is so nice to write with, I always get compliments and the best thing about it is you can pick up the refills for only 75p! My engraved Minnie Mouse sparkly pen was one I picked up on our most recent trip and I think it is adorable, it always makes me smile when I use it.

Okay so I think this is another cult item - who doesn't love a Bath and Body Works hand sanitiser! I stocked up on my last trip to America and I am down to my last one. They just smell so amazing and it is always so handy to have hand sanitiser on you. Plus the packaging is so simple and never leaks, which I have had happen with other brands!

So there you have it, these are my handbag essentials and pretty much all I carry in my handbag. I like to keep it fairly light and not have too much in there, so it doesn't become like a bottomless pit! What do you always have to have in your handbag?
